Joe Ely Carrales was born on January 12, 1954 to Elifalet Carrales and Viola Rivera Carrales in Premont, Texas. Joe Ely worked for Exxon Mobil for 34 years as a Maintenance Foreman. He always said he was the "Son of Premont" and was very proud to be born, raised and now rest in peace in his hometown. He married Sandra Saenz Carrales in 1980 and they had two sons, Joe Ely Carrales, III and Anthony Carrales.
Publications, training manuals, newsletters and newspapers pertaining to the Civil Air Patrol are included in this collection, along with the seven LPs, three recordings of friends and relatives telling stories and jokes and four recordings commercially produced.
