Historical or Biographical Information

C.A. Davis, Jr attended Texas A&I College from 1939 to 1943. During his years as an engineering student he wrote articles for The South Texan newspaper from 1940 to 1942. He was very active on campus a member of the Engineers Club from 1939-1943, Natural Gas Employees’ Association in 1942, Delta Sigma Chi from 1939-1942, and the Student Council from 1941 to 1943. Davis was elected Secretary and Treasurer of the Student Council in 1941-1942, and President in 1942. He made the list of "Who's Who" College List of 1942-1943. During his senior year he joined the Army Reserves and after graduation he was commissioned a Second Lt. in the Army Corps of Engineers.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of a Scrap Book created by C. A. Davis Jr. The book contains 38 pages of newspaper articles. It also contained several loose articles, two graduation programs, and a photo.

The materials are arranged in the same order the scrapbook was organized.
