Home of J.D. Hallmark, built in the summer of 1909 by J.C. Turner, who also built house across the street. Standing on the balcony is Leah Hallmark Crocker. Seated on steps are J.D. Hallmark and Melrose Hallmark Russell. Sitting on porch rail is Orlando Hallmark. House razed in the 1950s by Ernest Crocker (J.D. Hallmark’s grandson), who built his home there.

Kings Inn Hotel, Kingsville. Train depot in background. The Inn became a movie theater in the early 1930’s, then the movie theater moved to the corner 8th & Kleberg, and the corner building became a restaurant, then used by the U.S.O. during the Korean War, then a Pawn Shop. The corner building was torn down in 1970 so that new Kleberg Bank could be built.
