Both David and Peggy Ansel worked for Texas A&M University-Kingsville. They cave South Texas Archives a collection of photographs of events at the university, publications from the university, football memorabilia, and maps of the area.
David worked for Texas A&M University-Kingsville as a Superintendent of Buildings and Peggy worked in the Office of Sponsored Research. They devoted their time and energy to the success of the university and upon retirement donated photographs, football memorabilia and other documents of events.
The collection contains a conservation plan map, photos of campus activities from the 1970s to 1980s, memorabilia from the commencement when President George Bush delivered a commencement address to the class of 1990 and football promotional items. Maps and nautical charts of South Texas are included dating from the 1950s to the 1970s.
The collection is arranged in three series. Series I: University Documents Series II: Maps and Nautical Charts Series III: Photographs
