Historical or Biographical Information

Eduardo Hernandez was born on August 22, 1993 in Brownsville, Texas. At the time, Eduardo’s parents were undocumented immigrants who chose to have Eduardo born in the United States so he would have more opportunities. Eduardo had many challenges growing up in the United States as a child: his father stayed in Mexico while his mother and he lived in Brownsville, English was not his first language and he had to learn it while in school. The family had to struggle with poverty and racism. Eduardo learned how to cope via music and applying himself in school. Eduardo came to Texas A&M University-Kingsville on a music scholarship but switched majors to criminology after him and his family had an incident with a Mexican Cartel. In his quest to find answers to the problems he had witnessed he graduated with a B.S. in Criminology. Today he is currently working on his first Masters in Criminology, and has been accepted to the University of Cambridge to pursue a second Masters in Philosophy in Criminological Research.
