Speakers

Captain Richard Whynot is a retired Coast Guard Captain.  He belongs to the Granaderos de Galvez Organization.  He is a member of the Historic Fort Sam Houston Preservation Society and a member of the San Antonio Conservation Society.
Allen Kosub graduated from St. Mary's University with a degree in history.  He and his wife Regena have been doing historical research for 20 years.  Their primary focus is Eastern Bexar County and Wilson County.  They have been published in Outlaws and Lawmen Association's Publication.  They have written papers and articles for various genealogical societies.  They are charter of the LaVernia Historical Association.
Colonel Jesse M. Perez, U.S. Army retired.  He was born in Floresville, Texas and graduated from Floresville High School.  The following is his academic record:
Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Mary's University in 1972
Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from University of Texas at Austin (1984)
US Army Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas (1987)
US Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania (1994)
National Security Fellow, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts (1994)
He is currently serving as the Executive Director, Floresville Economic Development Corporation.
