Proposed Bylaw Changes

1. Any reference to "Executive Council" in the
bylaws of the South Texas Historical Association shall be
changed to "Executive Committee" so as to be consistent
throughout the bylaws. |

2. Office of Secretary: The position of Archivist of the
South Texas Archives at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (the
repository for the Archives of the South Texas Historical
Association) shall also include the duties of the Office of
Secretary of the South Texas Historical Association. |

3. In the event that no candidate for President is
available, the standing President may continue in that office
for one additional year, subject to approval by the board and
membership. |
