These forms require the Adobe Acrobat Reader.  They are required to be included with your project.

This Project Kit includes all the information and forms you need to participate as a volunteer interviewer in the Veterans History Project. Because the interviews and other documentation you collect will become part of the permanent historical record of our nation, we ask that you follow carefully the instructions in this kit to ensure that your recordings last and will be accessible to researchers and the public, both now and in the future. Your cooperation will greatly assist the South Texas Archives and Special Collections and Texas A&M University-Kingsville in organizing and cataloging this large and important collection.

We especially remind you that release forms must be signed by the veteran or civilian who was interviewed and by the interviewer or collector who donates the material to the South Texas Archives at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Materials without release forms will be returned. Signed release forms allow the materials to be used by researchers in the Archives and to be included in exhibitions and presentations if applicable.

In addition, a Biographical Data Form must be completed for each veteran or civilian who was interviewed. By completing this form, you provide us with the information we need to include your interview subjects in our National Registry of Service honoring their wartime contributions and their participation in the Veterans History Project. Similarly, the information you supply on our Audio and Video Recording Log, Photograph Log, and Manuscript Data Sheet assists us in preparing a description of your interviews, photographs, diaries, letters, and other documents for inclusion in our catalog.

All interviews and related documentation need to be given to the South Texas Archives at Texas A&M University-Kingsville to be considered part of the Veterans History Collection. We must obtain from you a completed Biographical Data Form and the name of the interviewer for each veteran or civilian. This information ensures that we can include your collection in the collection at the South Texas Archives. It is not necessary to send any log forms or additional information.

Please follow the links at the top of this page to work your way through the registration forms. You are encouraged to make printouts of the forms for your personal use.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss with us your ideas and plans, please contact us.

Thank you for joining us in this important project.
